Role Overview:
The post is full-time, based at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Lahore.
This is a post for a highly motivated and committed individual who can share the work load as a full time consultant head and neck surgeon in the Department of Surgical Oncology at SKMCH&RC. The appointee must be trained in ENT/ORL or maxillofacial surgery (dual-qualified) with a special interest in head and neck oncology, and will be expected to cover all aspects of head and neck surgical oncology, working on the principles of team work and current established guidelines.
The individual will be expected to work with and support the multidisciplinary site specific teams, collaborating with anaesthetists, oncologists and physicians. The successful candidate will have effective organizational and communication skills, with a keen interest in teaching and training junior colleagues and will be expected to have training and expertise in the surgical management of patients with cancers of the head and neck region.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- FRCS with sub specialization in ENT or in maxillo-facial surgery (dual dental and medical training).
- American board in maxillo-facial surgery or oto-rhino-laryngology.
- Full registration with the PMDC.
- Candidate must have a predominant interest in cancer work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
