Location: Lahore, Pakistan
Role Overview:
These posts are full-time, with one post being based at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Lahore and the other at the new SKMCH&RC in Peshawar.
The appointed individuals will be expected to provide paediatric oncology expertise in the ongoing clinical care and management of cancer patients. They will be expected to have or develop a specialist interest in leukaemias, lymphomata, solid tumours (bone and soft tissue sarcomata, Wilm-s tumour, liver tumours etc.)
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- Full registration with the PMDC
- MRCP (UK) / MRCPCH (UK) with evidence of three years post membership training in paediatric oncology
- American board in paediatrics, with sub-specialty board in paediatric haematology and oncology.
- A minimum of three years- experience in paediatric oncology following the MRCP or MRCPCH / American board in paediatrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to relate to patients and relatives in an understanding and sympathetic manner
- Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team
