This is what you will do: We are looking for a Director Healthcare – Digital Transformation who wants to make a difference in digital transformation in the healthcare sector, including the social domain. In this role, you are responsible for driving and shaping digital healthcare innovations, with a strong focus on:
- Strengthening the transformation to appropriate care (national, regional, and/or at organizational level) through the deployment of digitization, data & AI;
- Developing digital vision, strategy, and digital policy within the healthcare sector;
- Designing and implementing (cross-domain) digital care and support;
- Improving data availability, -governance, and -exchange within and between different organizations.
You will work for healthcare organizations (e.g., hospitals, primary care, mental health, long-term care), VWS (Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport), implementing organizations within the healthcare and social domain, and healthcare financiers. You are jointly responsible for building and driving the commercial growth of our healthcare practice. Examples of activities that fit within your function and our projects are:
- Feeding the strategy and implementation plans of healthcare organizations and concretizing the added value of digital transformation and data-driven care processes, for example in regional transformations.
- Conducting dialogue with board members and senior management about ‘the art of the possible’ within digital healthcare. Which new technologies are relevant and applicable and can deliver social and human-centered value?
- Helping our clients in healthcare define the most suitable setup and architecture (the vision for the future) for digital healthcare, and advising on the gradual modernization of the entire digital healthcare landscape. You will identify the impact and draw up a transition plan that takes into account interoperability and secure data exchange between organizations.
- Supporting complex decision-making regarding digitization, evaluation of solution directions, and analysis of how the market and proven technologies can contribute to better healthcare provision and collaboration within networks.
- Translating technological innovations into the organization: what organizational structure and governance are needed to actually deploy technology effectively and safely within healthcare?
- Translating the primary process and the “user-centricity” into technological possibilities.
- Overseeing and adjusting complex digital transformations, programs, and initiatives in the field of digital care pathways and data exchange.
How our team looks: The healthcare team within PwC's Public Sector Consulting practice is at the heart of our firm's growth strategy and focuses primarily on appropriate care transformation. The team consists of consultants in strategy and operations, healthcare specialists, technology & data, and project & program management. In projects, we work closely with other disciplines and experts, such as data analytics & technology, cyber security & privacy, our tech alliance teams, finance, people & organization, experience, legal, and our strategy house Strategy&. We also collaborate with partners in the healthcare sector to accelerate digital innovation and transformation. We are also an active part of the PwC Global Network Health Industries.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- You have at least 10 years of relevant work experience, ideally gained at other consulting firms and in the healthcare sector. With this experience, you are able to effectively tackle complex challenges within the sector and add value for our clients;
- You have a broad network at board and director level in the healthcare sector and realize business development by actively identifying new opportunities and initiating sustainable collaborations;
- You are entrepreneurial and driven to make a difference yourself, and you know how to make progress by connecting competencies within PwC;
- You are an inspiring coach who helps, challenges, inspires, and provides a platform for team members. You have a good sense of what team members need, make time to guide them, and contribute to a pleasant people journey for colleagues and clients through your positive and open communication.
- You have a completed university Master's degree(s) supplemented with specific training;
- You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both written and spoken.
