Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- An all-rounder with willingness to learn new skills and grow with the firm.
- University degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Finance/Accounting.
- Experienced with Financial Service industry (Banking, Insurance, etc...).
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience, ideally in consulting, IT or with banking or financial applications/platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a good command of written and spoken English.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Experienced working with technical/ solution design documentations.
- Experienced in building system implementation roadmap, analysing data and regulatory requirements.
- Experienced in supporting pursuits and delivering multiple projects/ solutions for financial services.
- Able to lead translation of client's business requirements into systems design and recommend solutions propositions which is fit for purpose.
- Good understanding of business function knowledge in Financial Services (Banking, Compliance, KYC, AML/CFT, Credit, Regulatory Reporting, Risks, payments, trade finance, supply chain, etc.).
- Experienced through all phases of a typical software development lifecycle (SDLC, waterfall/ agile).
- Prior experience in TOM design, process design, change management, and project management.
- Ability to lead architecture discussions with technical and business teams.
- Ability to perform estimations to shape delivery plans and proposals.
- Familiarity with best practice methodologies and tools for the entire solution lifecycle from ideation to requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and operations.
Advantageous (not a must):
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages such as MS Excel (VBA scripting), MS Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
- Experience with process re-engineering efforts and familiarity with principles.
- Experience in risk (AML/ CFT), compliance process design (regulatory reporting), operating models, regulatory must-dos and familiarity with compliance standards.
- Experience working with technology vendors supporting financial services on regulatory risk and compliance matters.
- Some experience with AWS/ Azure/ VMWare.
- Experienced with data design and database configuration.
- Familiarity with the latest trends and common compliance solutions utilising GenAI, AI, RPA, advanced analytics etc.
- Good knowledge of relational databases and/ or other programming languages (SQL, python, etc.) would be an asset.
