Job Purpose:
• The Director of Asset Management is responsible for maintaining relationships with third-party owning companies that have entered into Asset Management and Advisory Agreements (“AMAAS”) with RSG, and for providing strategic and operational oversight of the properties covered by those agreements.
• The role entails engaging with hotel operators at both Head Office and property level to represent and protect the Asset Owner’s interests, negotiating annual budgets, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with Hotel Management Agreements (HMAs), and reporting performance to the Asset Owner).
Job Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of asset managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members, ensuring strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills across the department.
• Establish and maintain consistent asset management processes, reporting standards, and best practices across the portfolio.
Portfolio & Performance Management
• Act as the focal point for all AMAAs in relation to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee and challenge annual budgets, business plans, and capital expenditure proposals submitted by operators to drive superior returns and long-term value creation.
• Report regularly on pre opening and operational performance of assets under AMAAs, covering key financial and operational performance indicators.
• Support the discussion, negotiation, and execution of management agreements.
Operator & Stakeholder Engagement
• Safeguard the interests of both the Asset Owner and RSG throughout contract negotiations and ongoing operational oversight.
• Hold operating partners accountable for achieving agreed service levels, quality benchmarks, operational standards, and profitability targets.
• Strengthen relationships with all key stakeholders, including regulators, operators/brands, and external consultants/vendors.
• Lead proactive property and operational oversight with a focus on asset value growth and long term performance optimization.
• Oversee data driven performance monitoring, ensuring accurate, timely reporting for weekly, monthly, and Board/Committees submissions.
• Ensure regular site visits take place and that findings are documented, escalated where needed, and acted upon promptly.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Strategic Initiatives & Growth
• Support cross functional initiatives and assist colleagues across the organization as required.
• Execute tasks assigned by the Board, the Head of Asset Management, or other senior stakeholders.
• Champion sustainability and ESG initiatives across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with RSG’s broader sustainability objectives.
• Contribute to long term portfolio planning, including diversification, value creation initiatives, and asset exit strategies.

Requirements:

Qualification and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 15 years’ o experience in a leading, fast paced, and dynamic organization.
• Strong financial acumen with proven commercial skills, including regular interaction with C-level clients.
• Strong financial acumen with expertise in P&L oversight, investment analysis, valuations, and asset planning.
• Demonstrated track record of leading teams and managing cross-functional stakeholders in large-scale, complex environments.
Skills
• Strong leadership skills with ability to inspire and guide teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with senior stakeholders and third parties.
• Commercial acumen and ability to interpret complex financial / operational data.
• Strong executive presence, high energy, and enthusiasm for the business.
• Fluency in English required; Arabic proficiency is preferred.
